We wanted to complete an action that would save energy. Initially we wanted to turn the heating off for a day but after consulting our concierege realised this was difficult and would actually cost more energy in the long run when the system would need to restart. This activity was initiated by the ISB Eco Team when we noticed that the temperature in all rooms in the school was set at 21 degrees. This was deemed to be unnecessary and so the idea of reducing it came about.

Reduce the temperature in the whole school.

- Wat was het doel van deze communicatie-actie en wie wilde jullie bereiken?: We realised that we needed to inform all members of the school community before any action could be taken. We didn't want anyone to suddenly find it very cold in school and so a social media campaign followed. We also didn't want parents of our littlest primary students to be alarmed about the change. Parents were all informed via email as well as being able to read it on our parent portal and on social media.
