The idea was first conceived by Green Team students during the SY 2021-2022 as a response to the lack of green / fresh produce on campus. Then building it got underway with our facilities manager Jan during the 2022-2023 school year, with completion early on the 2023-2024 school year.

RISS GreenTeam Hydroponics System
- Welke tips wil je andere Eco-teams geven bij het organiseren van een activiteit/evenement?: We held a workshop for this at a recent DISS sustainability conference in Maastricht. As a fairly complex project, adult volunteers are essential, as our tools, resources, and of course…a plan. We are happy to share our experience with fellow schools.

- Waarom zijn jullie hier trots op?: The hydroponics system is probably our most ambitious, and certainly the most technical project that the RISS Green Team has undertaken. And it works! It also adds much needed aesthetics to our greenhouse.
