Eco-Schools is the worldwide program for schools that work with students on sustainable thinking and acting. More than 59,000 schools in no fewer than 68 countries are already active within Eco-Schools. In the Netherlands, Eco-Schools is suitable for primary, secondary schools and vocational educational schools. The strength of Eco-Schools lies in the collaboration between schools. Eco-Schools supports and connects schools that want to learn together to make the world a better place!

Current participants

In the Netherlands, more than 160 schools are joined Eco-Schools. The map below shows all participating schools. You can see which milestones have already been reached for each school. Schools that participate in Eco-Schools work towards the Green Flag in several steps. During the process, schools are eligible for the Bronze certificate and the Silver certificate from Eco-Schools. Schools with a white flag have not yet received a certificate or Green Flag.
