Activiteit/evenement

Organised by: Eco-Planet Team. The Eco-Planet team worked together with the school concierge to know where to put the bins and to place the bins in corridors. The team also created posters to share with the community.

• Waarom zijn jullie hier trots op?: We have been able to make people realise that it is important to think about the waste that we create.

The activity was organised by the Eco-Schools lead teacher for the whole school. The Eco-Planet Team played a major part in deciding where to place the collection barrels and in handing out flyers around the school.

• Waarom zijn jullie hier trots op?: This is the first time we have entered a national sustainability-based competition. We are proud that so many children have brought in their old batteries. With a week to go before the competition closes, we have filled 2.5 barrels with batteries.

The activity was organised by the Eco-Planet Team. Children designed posters for boxes which were placed around the school. Our staff-representative from the facilities team organised the boxes for us. Children created leaflets which were shared with the school. Photos were also shared on our school screens.

• Waarom zijn jullie hier trots op?: We collected lots of plastic lids from things like milk cartons and shampoo bottles. We were pleased to put together 8 boxes of materials which are used in the school for art activities.

The group 4 students were working on a project about how to reduce food waste in school. A lot of the groups came up with the idea to have a compost bin. We purchased this worm bin as a results.

• Welke tips wil je andere Eco-teams geven bij het organiseren van een activiteit/evenement?: Make sure there is someone who can look after the worm bin during the holidays, especially the summer holidays.
